Press Release on upcoming Scottish 6 Nation Clashes

02 February 2010

Scottish rugby fans intending to travel to Ireland for the 6 Nations international on March 20th will welcome the news that the historic town of Drogheda is putting out the welcome math for Scottish visitors.

Local hotels have slashed their prices in an effort to entice fans away from staying in nearby Dublin city centre.

Drogheda just 24 miles north of Dublin Airport and on the M1 Belfast to Dublin route is an ideal location with bus services dropping off and picking up just 200 metres from Croke Park.

Accommodation, food and drinks are much less expensive than in Dublin, and Drogheda offers great night life with 50 pubs and five night clubs.

The area also boasts a huge amount of visitor attractions .

The hotels are charging in the region of €90 for two nights bed and breakfast, per person sharing reduced to just €39 for extra nights which is a significant reduction on normal rates.
