Bettystown is a thriving village that has seen much development since the late 1990’s.

It has a fine sandy beach that visitors and locals alike walk enjoying the unspoilt coastline at anytime throughout the year.  Historically Bettystown was a haven for the weary city dwellers of Dublin, many of whom spent summers in the many caravan parks dotting the coast.

The world famous “Tara Brooch” dated 700AD is reputed to have been discovered on the beach in Bettystown.  Of course now the Tara Brooch is a national treasure kept in the Royal Academy Collection of the National Museum, Dublin.

Of course the town can also boast a superb links course Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club designed by Robert Browne that cradles a warm and welcoming clubhouse, offering full bar and restaurant facilities for any avid golfers out there.

Ireland 's premier indoor family entertainment centre, Funtasia is situated in the heart of the picturesque seaside resort of Bettystown just 10 minutes east of CityNorth Hotel Meath.  There is something for all the family with many popular fairground rides, including some white knuckle rides for the thrill seekers and also gentler experiences for the less adventurous and younger guests!.

Dine in the carousel themed restaurant, explore the jungle zone and visit the multi level play area which will keep the young busy for hours with adventures around every corner.  American themed pool areas and Irelands only rollercoaster on a roof make this entertainment centre a must to visit.

Opening Hours: 10am - Midnight, 7 days a week Tel: 041 982 8301.  See Funtasia Waterpark for more details.  CityNorth, a 4 star hotel in Meath is ideally located 10 minutes from Bettystown for family breaks in Meath.
